The story behind the photographs
An easy afternoon, with nowhere else to be.
This family photography session was created around movement, connection and the beautiful in-between moments that unfold when nobody is trying too hard. We chose Wellington Point for its open space, soft late-afternoon light and room for everyone to relax.
The session mixed a handful of gently directed portraits with plenty of walking, talking and mucking around. That balance creates a gallery with the photographs grandparents love, alongside the candid images that feel most like real family life.
Planning a family session in Wellington Point
Late afternoon usually gives us the most flattering light and cooler conditions. Clothing works best when it feels comfortable and connected rather than perfectly matched. Before your session, I’ll help with location, timing and a simple wardrobe guide.
